In Taiwan, though you came back from China, or got sick, we(I mean healthcare system in Taiwan) will save you, and do our best to save you. If you got fever, no one would bring you to a building like field hospital and conduct centralized isolation(which is happening in China). The only thing you have to do is honestly state your travel and contact history while visiting hospital if you are sick.
Although we are not the epidemic area of Wuhan coronavirus(novel coronavirus), many people in Taiwan are anxious to such disease because we are so closed to China. Hence, we are extremely lack of masks, even in hospital. I can only get 2 pieces of mask per day in my workplace.
One of the doctors(Li Wenliang) who discovered Wuhan coronavirus in China just died of such disease. When he tried to disclosed his finding and warned Chinese people in January(long before Chinese government formal announcement), he was arrested by Chinese public security officers. He was forced to sign a statement:
“ I CAN DO cooperate with police, stop illegal behavior”
“I UNDERSTAND if I keep doing such illegal behavior, I will get punished”
Millions of people in China are incensed at such event. They put the slogans “I CAN’T, I DON’T UNDERSTAND” everywhere like which I wrote on my mask.
The real news can spread rapidly only if we have freedom of speech!
God bless China, not their government.
